Role Summary
This is a dual-role position where you’ll be involved in both installation and testing. You’ll support the delivery of electrical works on site, while taking responsibility for inspection, certification, and compliance.
You’ll work closely with our electricians and Project Managers to ensure works are completed to a high standard and fully compliant.
Areas: London & Home Counties
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out inspection, testing, and certification (EIC, EICR, Minor Works)
- Supporting and undertaking electrical installation works where required
- Inspecting and verifying:
- LV distribution systems (isolators, MCCB panels, boards)
- Submains and final circuits
- Assisting with installation and verification of:
- Lighting (general and emergency)
- Small power systems
- Earthing and bonding
- Identifying and rectifying faults and non-compliance issues
- Supporting commissioning and project handover
- Maintaining accurate test records and certification
- Working within live environments and phased programmes
Requirements
- City & Guilds 2391 (or 2394/2395)
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Strong background in both installation and testing
- Confident working on site, not just testing environments
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of quality
Desirable
- Enhanced DBS check required
- Experience working in occupied buildings
- Knowledge of emergency lighting and life safety systems
