Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Optical Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support the daily operations of the optical practice, assisting both customers and optometrists to ensure a smooth and efficient service. We do require a minimum grade of grade 4/C or above in Maths and English GCSE.
Please note this position includes weekend work.
Duties
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries and guiding them through the selection of eyewear and lenses.
- Process orders for eyewear, ensuring accuracy in prescriptions and specifications.
- Collaborate with team members to manage inventory levels of frames, lenses, and other optical supplies.
- Stay updated on the latest optical products and technologies to provide informed recommendations to patients.
Experience
- Previous experience in an optical setting or similar healthcare environment is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service will help you thrive in this role.
- Ability to work well within a team while also demonstrating initiative when required.
