Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Domestic Cleaner to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining clean and welcoming environments. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with janitorial or hotel cleaning experience to contribute to a high standard of cleanliness and customer satisfaction. The position involves performing cleaning duties efficiently while ensuring safety and hygiene standards are met consistently.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive cleaning of residential or commercial spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Maintain cleanliness in kitchens by cleaning appliances, countertops, and floors, with some responsibilities in food preparation such as basic cooking tasks when required.
- Ensure bathrooms are hygienic by disinfecting toilets, sinks, showers, and replenishing supplies as needed.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling processes following proper procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client requests professionally and courteously.
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, notifying management when restocking is necessary to ensure operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in janitorial work, hotel housekeeping, or commercial cleaning is highly desirable.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment maintenance, and sanitation standards.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality of work.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly attitude towards clients and team members.
- Experience in cooking or food handling is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is appreciated.
- Prior customer service experience enhances the ability to meet client expectations effectively.
