Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections to diagnose mechanical issues using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems including brakes, engines, transmissions, suspension, and electrical components
- Carry out MOT testing in accordance with legal requirements to certify vehicle safety and roadworthiness
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to identify problems quickly and implement effective solutions efficiently
- Handle heavy lifting safely when moving or installing vehicle parts or equipment
- Maintain detailed service records, repair logs, and MOT documentation accurately
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and components
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.
- Experience with power tools for vehicle repairs and maintenance tasks
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail during inspections and repairs
- Good communication skills to explain technical issues clearly to customers and team members
- Valid certification as an MOT Tester is highly desirable but not mandatory; training can be provided for the right candidate

Pay: £26,493.49-£40,901.55 per year
