Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Domestic Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within private homes, hotels, or commercial premises. This role offers an opportunity to deliver exceptional service in a professional environment, ensuring client satisfaction through thorough cleaning and organisational skills. Previous experience in janitorial work, hotel cleaning, or commercial cleaning is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. A friendly attitude and a commitment to high standards are essential for success in this position.
Duties
- Clean and sanitise all designated areas including kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and communal spaces
- Vacuum carpets, mop floors, dust surfaces, and polish furniture to maintain a high standard of cleanliness
- Restock supplies such as toiletries and cleaning products as required
- Handle laundry tasks including washing, drying, folding, and organising clothes and linens
- Assist with organising spaces to ensure they are tidy and welcoming for clients or guests
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment
- Occasionally prepare light refreshments or organise items according to client preferences (desirable skill)
- Communicate effectively with clients or management regarding specific cleaning requirements or feedback
Qualifications
- Previous experience in janitorial work, hotel housekeeping, or commercial cleaning is preferred but not mandatory
- Basic cooking skills are considered an advantage for preparing light refreshments or assisting with organisational tasks
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail
- Organised with good time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within allocated timeframes
- Reliability and punctuality are essential qualities for this role
- Physical fitness to perform cleaning duties including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
