Purpose of the Role
The Business Support & Finance Executive plays a key role in ensuring the efficient delivery of business support and financial administration across the Society. The role is responsible for providing accurate financial processing, maintaining robust administrative systems, supporting budgeting and reporting activities, and assisting with operational coordination. Working collaboratively within a team to help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the organisation and supporting the achievement of strategic and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive business support and administrative assistance to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the organisation.
- Ensure compliance with FCA and financial regulations, audit requirements, and internal controls.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are recorded in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.
- Support the preparation of management reports and financial information for internal stakeholders.
- Maintain and update financial systems, databases, and administrative records.
- Process payment invoices and expenses i.e. using BACS payment system in accordance with internal procedures
- Produce reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and other business documentation as required.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial and organisational information with discretion.
- Undertake any other duties / projects appropriate to the role and commensurate with the level of responsibility, as directed by management.
Key Requirements
- Previous experience in a business support, finance, or administrative role.
- Good understanding of financial administration principles and accounting processes.
- Strong understanding in using financial management systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently using initiative, while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Experience working in a customer-focused environment and responding professionally to enquiries.
