Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Labourer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces, supporting construction projects, and assisting with various groundskeeping and landscaping tasks. Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, planting, and pruning to ensure healthy and attractive outdoor spaces
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and small machinery including excavators and irrigation systems with safety and precision
- Assist with groundskeeping duties like debris removal, soil preparation, and lawn care to uphold high standards of site appearance
- Support construction activities by preparing sites, loading/unloading materials, and assisting skilled tradespeople as needed
- Conduct routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all tasks to promote a secure work environment for yourself and colleagues
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining quality standards
Qualifications
- Prior experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, gardening, or construction is highly desirable
- Knowledge of horticulture principles and landscape maintenance techniques
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating power tools, hand tools, and small machinery such as excavators
- Familiarity with irrigation systems and basic maintenance procedures is a plus
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, digging, and standing for extended periods
- Strong teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards learning new skills and safety practices
- Valid driver’s license or the ability to operate equipment safely is preferred
