Kitchen/Domestic Assistant post term time only
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Domestic Kitchen Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparation, cooking and delivery of children's meals and snacks whilst maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards. Previous experience in catering and cleaning is highly desirable. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a professional setting where attention to detail and reliability are valued.
Duties
- Cook and prepare a range of nutritious balanced meals and snacks.
- Adapt meals for dietary requirements.
- To work from the HACCAP Environmental Health documentation.
- Completing relevant documentation such as temperature recordings, dietary handover sheets, allergen recordings etc.
- Perform cleaning duties including disinfecting surfaces in designated areas
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchens according to health and safety standards
- Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet roll as needed
- Ensure waste is disposed of appropriately and bins are emptied regularly
- Follow health and safety protocols during all cleaning activities
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards to management promptly
- Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively
- Assist with specialised cleaning tasks when required
Qualifications
- Level 3 Food Hygiene certificate
- Previous experience in catering is preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to work efficiently within allocated timeframes
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude
Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour
