AEM Products Ltd is a small, high quality sub-contract precision engineering company based in Rushden. The company provides specialist machining services to the F1 Motorsport Industry.
AEM Products Ltd manufactures complex 3D machined components in small batch quantities of between 1 off and 20 off dependent on customer requirements. A variety of materials are used including various grades of aluminium alloys, high performance plastics, CFRP and rigid foams. Parts are programmed using solid model CAD data with the machine code being output directly to CNC machining centres.

8.30am - 5.00pm Monday – Friday

A split shift is run during periods of peak production.
Reporting to: Dan Clair – Engineering Manager
Basic Job Description and Responsibilities:
Setting and Operating CNC controlled vertical machining centres for the production of small batches of precision parts.
Read, understand and be able to work from drawings.
Carry out routine checks and basic machine maintenance (i.e. cleaning filling with oil etc.)
Consulting with quality assurance and inspecting own work
Maintain a clean and safe working area, compliant with health and safety.
Skills & Attributes Required:
Applicants must be capable of working to instructions and general workshop guidelines and have an awareness of Health & Safety considerations within a manual work environment. Applicants must also offer a flexible approach to working under pressure and to deadlines. Experience in a practically based work environment, involving manual work with an attention to detail would be advantageous. The successful candidate will have good computer skills together with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Applicants must be personable and able to work as part of a team, effectively communicating with other workshop and support staff. Full training will be provided.
