Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled, Cook to join our team in preparing and serving nutritionally balanced meals for children attending the Nursery.
Hours of work will be between a Monday and Friday from 8.30am - 3.30pm
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes/following recipes
- Washing pots after meal times
- Ensure food safety standards are met at all times
- Help with stock rotation and ordering supplies
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment
- To maintain accurate records regarding temperature controls etc.
- To meet health and safety and environmental health requirements at all times.
- .To liaise with nursery staff regarding children’s specific dietary requirements.
- To attend any training events or Nursery events as identified by the Nursery Manager.
Experience
- Previous experience working in a kitchen setting is essential
- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques, allergens and culinary skills is essential.
- Ability to work well in a fast paced environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.71-£13.40 per hour
