Position: Warehouse Operative
Overview:
Employment of London Limited is looking for reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operatives to join our team in Glasgow. You will play an important role in the day-to-day running of the warehouse, helping to ensure goods are received, stored, picked, packed and dispatched accurately and efficiently.
This is a hands-on position suited to candidates who are organised, physically capable and comfortable working in a busy warehouse environment while following health and safety procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload and check incoming goods against delivery documentation
- Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Load and unload goods safely using appropriate warehouse equipment
- Move, sort and organise stock throughout the warehouse
- Check products for damage, quantity and quality
- Label, sort and prepare goods for dispatch
- Maintain accurate stock records and report any discrepancies
- Assist with stock counts and inventory checks
- Keep warehouse areas clean, organised and free from hazards
- Follow company health and safety procedures at all times
- Work as part of a team to meet daily productivity and dispatch targets
- Assist with general warehouse duties as required
Experience & Skills:
- Previous warehouse, logistics or distribution experience is desirable
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling duties safely
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Ability to follow instructions and workplace procedures
- Experience using warehouse management or stock-control systems is an advantage
- Previous forklift experience or a valid forklift licence is desirable, where required for the role
