HGV Class 1 Driver
Freeburn Transport Ltd is a well-established, family-run transport company based in Moy, Co. Tyrone. We operate an extensive transport network across Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, Scotland, and England, providing reliable and professional logistics services to our customers.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking experienced Class 1 Drivers to join our professional driving team in the following shift patterns:
- Casual Dayshift
- Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday Nightshift
- 4 On / 4 Off Nightshift
- Weekend Trips
- Weekend Dayshift or Nightshift
Key Responsibilities
- Comply with all Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Carry out daily vehicle safety checks on both the tractor unit and trailer, including refrigeration equipment where applicable.
- Drive safely and responsibly at all times, adhering to speed limits and remaining aware of other road users and pedestrians.
- Follow all relevant driving legislation, company policies, and operational procedures.
- Handle all customer goods and company equipment with care, professionalism, and respect.
- Report any vehicle, operational, or compliance issues promptly to the Compliance Team or Fleet Maintenance Manager.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional and courteous manner when dealing with customers.
- Adhere strictly to drivers' hours regulations, tachograph requirements, and rest period legislation.
Essential Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) HGV Licence.
- Current Driver CPC qualification.
- Valid Digital Tachograph (Digi) Card.
- Strong understanding of transport safety procedures and compliance requirements.
