We’re looking for an energetic, reliable team member to join our Hitchin store. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where you’ll be customer-facing, work as part of a tight team, and help deliver high standards during busy service (we can make 100+ orders in a single night).
Availability (must-have)
- 18+ Applicants Only
- Weekday mornings availability is essential (for opening shifts)
- Weekend availability is essential
- You must be able to work opening and closing shifts as required!
Key responsibilities
- Providing a warm, friendly and confident customer-facing experience (taking orders, answering questions, resolving small issues quickly)
- Preparing and serving desserts and drinks to spec (speed + quality)
- Supporting busy rushes: batching, restocking, and keeping service flowing when it gets hectic
- Packing delivery orders carefully and accurately
- Opening duties (as trained): setting up stations, stock checks, prep, and getting the shop ready for service
- Closing duties (as trained): cleaning down stations, end-of-day checks, restocking, and leaving the shop ready for the next day
- Keeping your station clean, organised, and following food safety standards
- Working closely with the team and communicating clearly during peak times
What we’re looking for
- Comfortable being customer-facing and speaking to customers with confidence
- Able to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment and stay calm under pressure
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to jump in where needed
- A strong team player with a positive attitude
- Attention to detail (presentation + order accuracy)
Experience
Experience in hospitality/food & beverage is helpful, but not required — we can train the right person. What matters most is attitude, speed, and reliability.
