Catering Manager - Gardeners Kitchen, Everton Nurseries Garden Centre

For our Gardeners Kitchen at Everton - you will be responsible for the day to day management and running of our busy coffee shop, ensuring we provide a consistent, high quality catering offer. Delivering a truly memorable customer experience takes real teamwork and a major part of the role will involve managing the team to ensure they are motivated and focused.
Our vision is to be the ‘go to’ garden centre in the area and a strong catering offer is a key part of our business. This is a senior position within the management team of the Everton Nurseries Garden Centre and offers the successful candidate opportunities to really make their mark and develop within a rapidly expanding company.
We are open 7 days a week, so some weekend working will be required but with no split shifts.
Key responsibilities:
· To ensure that the coffee shop is staffed within budget, with a well-trained and motivated team. This will include drawing up the staff rota.
· To ensure a safe working environment within the Coffee Shop for employees and customers.
· To ensure that the Coffee Shop always presents a positive and professional impression to all customers.
· To communicate well between staff and managers at all levels.
Experience and skills:
· Relevant Catering Experience
· Experience in staff management, training and development
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Flexible to cover hours dependant on needs of the business
