Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organised Dental Receptionist to join Riverside in Braunton. We offer both private and NHS general dental services and pride ourselves on looking after our local community in a friendly and high quality manner.
The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires a proactive individual with strong communication skills and a keen attention to detail.
Although the job is advertised as 13.25 hours, additional hours covering holiday and sickness are always available most months. There may be an opportunity to increase hours in the near future.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival and assist them with check-in procedures.
- Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring an efficient calendar for the dental team.
- Manage patient records, including updating personal information and treatment histories.
- Handle incoming calls, addressing inquiries and directing calls to appropriate staff members.
- Process patient payments accurately.
- Assist in managing correspondence, including emails and postal mail related to patient communications.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient flow throughout the practice.
Qualifications
- No previous experience necessary as training will be given.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and friendly telephone manner.
- A compassionate approach towards patients, demonstrating empathy and understanding of their needs.
- Ability to work well as part of a team while also being self-motivated when required.
