Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity available to join our busy Transport Department. We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, positive and proactive critical thinker to join our team in a compliant and influential role.
Key Responsibilities;
· Route Planning and work prioritisation.
· Supervisory duties of a defined group of drivers.
· Managing driver working and driving time.
· Driver and vehicle allocation.
· Promptly respond to breakdowns or other operational issues, by reallocating work to ensure impact to customers is minimised.
· Responding to internal and external calls and queries quickly and efficiently.
· Maintain records accurately.
· Completion of various administrative requirements to include; data input, filing, driver payroll, working with the TMS.
· Maintain a safe working environment which complies with our H&S Policy.
· Support the Transport Manager(s) ensuring the department is working in line with the undertakings to the Company Operator Licence and with all other Company Policies.
· Ability to understand and achieve company / department KPI’s.
· Promptly communicate any waiting time / wasted journeys or any other challenges to the appropriate teams.
· Various other duties as required.
What are we looking for?
· Knowledge of transport regulations and compliance requirements. Training and ongoing progression will be available for the right candidate.
· Commercial awareness.
· Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
· Excellent computer literacy, specifically Microsoft Office/Word/Excel.
· A high level of intellect, and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
· Enthusiastic team player, with a positive 'can do' attitude.
· A flexible approach to changing priorities, with the ability to manage and prioritise your workload.
Pay: £40,000.00 per year
