We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Turner to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the XYZ RLX780 machine to produce precision components with excellence. Your expertise in machining processes, mechanical knowledge, and attention to detail will contribute significantly to our production goals. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about craftsmanship, quality, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Program and operate XYZ lathe to produce precision components, and other machine tools to produce high-quality parts according to engineering specifications.
- Interpret technical drawings to ensure accurate machining processes with the occasional tight tolerance.
- Inspect your own work to ensure accuracy and quality before handing it to the quality department.
- Use hand and power tools for assembly, finishing, and minor adjustments of machined components.
- Troubleshoot general engineering issues regarding machining.
- Handle raw materials.
- Other duties as defined by the Board of Director, as and when required.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a Turner.
- Previous experience as a XYZ Turner preferred but not essential.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings
- Mechanical knowledge of tooling, fixtures, and machine maintenance procedures
- Methodical approach.
- Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational and numeracy skills.
- Self-motivated/like to keep busy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Good all round team player.
