Full Job Description
Hopwood Court Retirement Home is a 23 bedded residential care home who care and support elderly people with dementia and mental heath needs.
We are looking to recruit a compassionate and caring care assistant to join our friendly dedicated care team to help us with continuing to enhance our residents quality of life in our homely home environment.
Requirements
A kind, compassionate ,dependable person with a calm approach when providing person-centred care.
Have good communication skills so to be able to effectively communicate with our residents, families and team members so to ensure that the care and support that is given is consistent.
Have the ability to work well as part of a team and remain calm under pressure.
Able to follow care plans and record accurate information using IT systems.
Previous experience is beneficial but not a necessity as full training will be provided.
To be able to commit to the shifts outlined below
Shifts start from 7.00am -2.00pm & 2.00 pm - 9.00 pm
As a Care Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
Provide a high-quality of care that is tailored to each individual persons needs, including personal care, mobility and emotional support throughout the day
Encourage residents to join in meaningful and stimulating activities.
Assisting with domestic tasks that include light housework when required, laundry and meal preparation.
Enhanced DBS will be required for this role, the cost will be met by Hopwood Court Ltd (subject to terms and conditions)
