Lead with Purpose. Join a Team That’s Ready to Grow.
Great nursery leadership doesn’t happen in isolation. It comes from having a strong team around you, a shared vision for children and the support to turn great ideas into everyday practice.
We’re looking for an experienced Nursery Manager to lead our nursery alongside an established and passionate leadership team.
You won’t be doing it alone.
Our rooms are led by experienced practitioners who know their children and teams well, and you’ll work alongside our Deputy Manager, Operations Manager and Quality Improvement Manager, with support from directors who are actively involved and committed to investing in our people and provision.
This is an exciting opportunity for a manager who loves early years, enjoys bringing people together and wants the freedom to lead, develop and shape a nursery while having a knowledgeable team around them.
About You
You’re an experienced early years leader who understands that great practice comes from strong relationships, consistency, reflection and a team who feel valued and supported.
You have an excellent understanding of the EYFS and know how to turn this into meaningful, child-centred experiences.
You’re approachable and confident, able to make decisions while listening to the people around you. You enjoy developing others, celebrating what is working well and supporting teams to continually strengthen their practice.
You’re organised, resilient and comfortable balancing the many different aspects of nursery management — but importantly, you understand the value of shared leadership and teamwork.
Your Role
As Nursery Manager, you’ll have overall responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of the nursery, supported by a wider leadership team.
You will:
- Lead and inspire an established team of early years practitioners and Room Leads.
- Work closely with our Deputy Manager, Operations Manager and Quality Improvement Manager, drawing on their experience and expertise.
- Champion our Seeds of Learning approach and help bring our educational vision to life throughout the nursery.
- Create a positive culture where practitioners feel valued, supported and confident in their roles.
- Coach and develop your team, recognising strengths and helping individuals progress.
- Ensure safeguarding, EYFS and statutory requirements are consistently embedded across the setting.
- Work with our Quality Improvement Manager to reflect on practice, celebrate strengths and identify opportunities for further development.
- Build warm, trusted relationships with children, families and external professionals.
- Oversee staffing, occupancy and the day-to-day operation of the nursery, with support from our Operations Manager and wider team.
- Play an important part in shaping the nursery’s next chapter and future growth.
What We’re Looking For
- A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (Level 5 or above desirable).
- Nursery management or significant senior leadership experience within an early years setting.
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding and statutory requirements.
- A warm, confident and collaborative leadership style.
- The ability to motivate, support and develop others.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- A genuine passion for creating a happy, high-quality environment for children and the people who care for them.
Why Join Us?
This is an opportunity to take the lead in a nursery with a clear vision, strong foundations and exciting plans for the future.
You’ll have the freedom to bring your own leadership style, ideas and experience to the role, while working with a passionate team who genuinely care about providing the very best experiences for children.
We believe in investing in our people, recognising great practice and creating opportunities for professional growth. You’ll be supported by an experienced wider leadership team, while having the autonomy and trust to lead your nursery and make it your own.
Most importantly, you’ll be joining a company where your voice matters and where you can make a real difference — to the children, families and team you lead.
If you’re looking for your next Nursery Manager role and want somewhere you can feel valued, make an impact and be part of an exciting future, we’d love to hear from you.
