Overall Purpose of the Role:
Working in the maintenance department responsible for ensuring the continuous & reliable operation of die casting machines, furnaces, ABB robots, presses and associated production equipment. To provide a maintenance service across site and support production supervision to meet production demands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work within a maintenance team
- Maintain and repair die-casting machines and associated equipment
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance to minimise production downtime
- Support production teams as required
- Promote and maintain strong safety culture
- Completion of maintenance tickets on cmms and detailed shift handover report
- Work within maintenance department to improve plant reliability
- Fault finding to establish root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Welding and fabrication
Qualifications and Experience Levels:
- Apprentice trained mechanical engineer (essential)
- Strong mechanical bias with good Hydraulic experience (electrical knowledge beneficial)
- Competence in reading engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Proven experience in die-casting or heavy manufacturing environments is highly desirable
- Forklift, crane licences desirable
Work Pattern
One-week early shift followed by one-week late shift
Early Shift - Monday - Thursday 6am-14.15pm. Friday 6am-13.15.
Late Shift - Monday - Thursday 14.00 hrs- 22.15.hrs. Friday 13.00hrs - 20.15hrs
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
