Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Smart Repair Technician to join our team working in our on-site bodyshop. This role involves performing paint repairs on vehicles, focusing on cosmetic fixes that restore vehicles to optimal condition. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and have relevant experience in carrying out cosmetic vehicle repairs. Duties
- Conduct smart repairs on vehicle surfaces, including paint touch-ups, bumper repairs, paint spraying and scratch removal using specialised techniques. No serious accident damaged vehicles.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools efficiently to carry out repairs with precision.
- Assess vehicle damage accurately to determine appropriate repair methods.
- Prepare surfaces for repair work by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary.
- Follow safety protocols at all times, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Document repair procedures and communicate effectively with team members regarding job progress.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive or similar repair environments preferred.
- Experience with power tools including drills, sanders, and polishers is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive repair or bodywork are desirable but not essential.
