We are looking to recruit a highly skilled and conscientious Production operative to join the team based at our Deeside site. The job holder will be an integral part of the team, contributing to the manufacturing and packing of in Vitro diagnostic products in line with regulatory requirements. The successful candidate should be willing to actively engage and contribute their skills along with attention to detail in order to ensure successful manufacturing of Mast products for distribution.
THE ROLE
· To work as part of the manufacturing team in the production and packing of in vitro diagnostic products.
· To undertake tasks in any of the manufacturing areas as scheduled within the production planning process.
· To produce high quality products to agreed standard operating procedures and costs.
· To assist in the collection of data to ensure accurate costing of products is achieved. This is primarily the recording of all material used in the manufacture of products and ensuring that the labour time spent on each process is recorded within the Business Management System
· At the end of each job/process to correctly close down the process step(s) which must include (where appropriate) the completion of all costing and labour data.
· If appropriate to ensure that quality control laboratory sample products are fully labelled and taken to the appropriate area for storage or testing.
· Working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday (days only)
In addition to the specified duties the Production Operative is expected to perform additional tasks that the company may require.
THE PERSON
- Previous production operative experience is desirable
- Have a proactive approach to work
- Experience of following processes and procedures
- Experience of working in a manufacturing environment previously an advantage
- Ability to use a PC with MS packages
- Good standard of English and Maths
- Attention to detail is a must
- Willingness to learn and work to improve business efficiency
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team
- Willingness to undertake training to improve skills
In addition to the specified duties the employee is expected to perform additional tasks when reasonably called upon to do so.
