Job Description
We are seeking a commercially aware accounts team member with a strong accounting background to join our Ipswich team on a permanent contract. The new team member will take on our existing reconciliation and credit control roles and then work with our technical team to identify ways to fully automate these processes, repeating this throughout the department.
We are looking for critical thinking, strong problem-solving skills, and meticulous attention to detail. The successful candidate will have a good standard of written English and the ability to communicate effectively with both stakeholders within the company, our extensive network of customers, and any of our suppliers.
The successful candidate must have experience working in accounts departments for businesses at a similar scale to ours and be extremely confident working with computers. You should be able to show experience working with balance sheets, financial statements, cashflow statements, budgeting and forecasting, preparing management accounts and VAT returns.
We manage a large volume of financial transactions across UK and EU operations. You will initially be responsible for daily and monthly reconciling, handling credit control, and ensuring the accuracy of customer and supplier accounts. You will liaise regularly with the Sales and Management teams to make decisions regarding both our customers and our suppliers.
We are specifically looking for someone who has the skills and confidence to challenge our processes and help us improve them - and the successful candidate will have plenty of opportunity to grow with us.
The role is based in Ipswich and is office-based, with a car park available for those who drive, and a bus stop outside of the building for those that do not. This is a full-time role, 9.00-17.00 Monday to Friday, with an hour for lunch included.
There is no mandatory overtime and no weekend work. Henbrandt is a strong company which has been trading for over 50 years and has a proven track record as a reliable employer.
