Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Production and Process Engineer
Key Duties:
Technical Authority: Serve as the subject matter expert, guiding technology selection, capacity evaluation, and start-up/shutdown philosophies.
Design & Engineering: Oversee the production of Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), mass & energy balances, and equipment specifications.
Process Safety & Compliance: Lead or support Process Hazard Analysis (HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, SIL) and ensure strict adherence to UK HSE regulations and COMAH standards.
Stakeholder Management: Coordinate technical interfaces across technology licensors, FEED/EPC contractors, and operational teams to ensure design integrity.
Mentorship: Provide visible technical and team leadership, mentoring junior and senior process engineers.
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Education & Status: Degree in Chemical or Process Engineering and hold Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.
Experience: 5+ years experience, specifically executing complex design or EPC phases for large-scale energy or chemical projects. Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of process simulation tools (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, or ProMax).
Pay: From £45,000.00 per year
