Well Dogs Hydrotherapy is a well-established and respected canine therapy centre, trusted by local vets who refer clients to us for rehabilitation following surgery or for ongoing medical, orthopaedic, or neurological conditions.
We’re a small, dedicated team of caring and professional therapists, all qualified to at least Level 3 in Small Animal Hydrotherapy. Our focus is always on providing the highest standard of care, compassion, and outcomes for every dog we treat.
About the Role
We’re looking for a qualified and passionate hydrotherapist to join our friendly team on a self-employed basis. You’ll work with a range of canine conditions, applying your technical knowledge and empathy to help dogs regain strength, mobility, and confidence.
Key responsibilities include:
Reviewing veterinary referral forms and discussing cases with owners.
Preparing for and carrying out hydrotherapy sessions using appropriate techniques.
Maintaining accurate records and writing reports.
Ensuring the pool and working environment meet health, safety, and hygiene standards.
Working independently and collaboratively within the team.
Initially 2 evenings a week (Tuesday & Friday) with a view to expand for the right person.
occasional Saturdays and holiday cover required
About You
To succeed in this role, you’ll be:
Qualified to a minimum of Level 3 Certificate in Small Animal Hydrotherapy or a qualified Veterinary Physiotherapist.
Registered with NARCH or IRVAP (or willing to register)
Empathetic and confident handling dogs of all breeds, temperaments, and conditions.
Organised with excellent communication and record-keeping skills.
Flexible, reliable, and able to use your initiative to deliver the best possible care.
Further practical training will be provided to support your ongoing development.
