Job description
This role focuses on transport planning linked to new developments, regeneration projects and sustainable travel.
Main duties:
- Review and provide advice on:
- planning applications
- transport assessments/statements
- travel plans
- development proposals
- Assess the transport impacts of new housing, commercial and regeneration schemes
- Negotiate with local Highway Authorities to secure improvements such as:
- Active Travel
- walking routes
- cycling facilities
- public transport improvements
- safer streets
- Provide professional transport planning advice to planning teams.
- Support major transport infrastructure and regeneration projects.
- Prepare reports and recommendations for decision makers.
- Work with:
- planners
- engineers
- developers
- consultants
- community stakeholders.
Skills/experience expected:
- Experience in transport planning or highways planning.
- Understanding of national and local planning policy and transport plans.
- Ability to manage projects.
- Strong report writing and communication skills.
Salary based on experience
Pay £30,000 - £60,000 per annum
