Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation by washing, peeling, chopping, and organizing ingredients to ensure timely service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment to uphold health and safety standards
- Support chefs with basic cooking tasks under supervision, contributing to the preparation of dishes as needed
- Ensure all food items are stored correctly, rotating stock and adhering to food safety protocols
- Help with general kitchen duties including waste disposal, cleaning schedules, and maintaining hygiene standards
- Serve as a key team player by supporting front-of-house staff during busy service periods when required
- Follow all health and safety regulations diligently to create a safe working environment for everyone
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is highly desirable but not essential; enthusiasm to learn is equally valued
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen operations is a plus
- Experience working in hotels or similar hospitality venues can be advantageous
- Knowledge of basic culinary practices and serving procedures will help you excel in this role
