Days of Working: This role covers the whole of Scotland and would ideally suit somebody that is within a commutable distance of Glasgow, working typically Monday - Friday, but where operational needs require there may be weekend working.
As a Security Operations Director, you will lead a significant regional portfolio of security contracts, driving operational excellence, customer satisfaction and commercial performance across a diverse client base.
This is a highly influential leadership role with responsibility for the safety, wellbeing, engagement and performance of large operational teams, while ensuring exceptional service delivery and sustainable business growth. You'll work closely with executive-level clients, Regional Directors and senior leaders to shape strategy, strengthen customer partnerships and deliver industry-leading security solutions.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the continued growth of the business, identifying opportunities to maximise value, improve performance and enhance customer experience across a complex multi-site portfolio.

As part of your role, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Lead, coach and develop Regional Directors and operational management teams across a large geographic region
- Own regional financial performance, including full profit and loss responsibility and budget delivery
- Build and maintain strong relationships with executive-level customers, acting as a trusted strategic partner
- Drive operational excellence, ensuring contractual compliance and service delivery standards are consistently achieved
- Lead performance improvement initiatives that enhance customer satisfaction, efficiency and profitability
- Support business growth through contract retention, upselling opportunities and new business mobilisation activities
- Collaborate with commercial, bid and operational teams on customer presentations and growth opportunities
- Act as the senior escalation point for operational, client and people-related matters
- Champion a strong health, safety and wellbeing culture across all contracts
- Work collaboratively with national leadership teams to deliver business objectives and strategic priorities
The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:
- Significant leadership experience within the security industry, managing large-scale guarding operations across multiple sites and customers
- Proven experience leading regional or national contract portfolios with full operational and commercial accountability
- A strong track record of managing and developing high-performing, geographically dispersed teams
- Experience building and maintaining relationships with senior stakeholders and key customers
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, profitability and operational performance metrics
- Excellent knowledge of manned guarding operations and integrated security solutions
- Demonstrable experience implementing health and safety best practice within a complex operational environment
- The ability to influence, inspire and lead teams through change while maintaining high levels of engagement and performance
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence presenting at executive level
Essential:

- Full UK Driving Licence
- Health & Safety qualification (IOSH or NEBOSH desirable)
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
