Overview
We are seeking an experienced Window and Door Fitter specialising in both residential and commercial projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining windows and doors to the highest standards. This role requires a skilled professional with a strong background in construction-related trades, capable of working efficiently on a variety of building sites. The ideal applicant will demonstrate excellent craftsmanship, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings. Duties
- Install, replace, and repair windows and doors in residential and commercial properties, ensuring precise fitting and sealing.
- Read and interpret technical schematics, drawings, and specifications to execute installations accurately.
- Prepare work sites by measuring spaces, removing old fixtures, and ensuring surfaces are ready for fitting.
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised fabrication equipment to complete installations efficiently.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment at all times.
- Assist in the fabrication of customised components when required to meet specific project needs.
- Maintain organisation of tools and materials on-site for maximum efficiency.
- Conduct quality checks post-installation to guarantee customer satisfaction and adherence to project specifications.
Skills
- Proven experience in window and door fitting within both residential and commercial sectors.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as chisels, hammers, screwdrivers; power tools including drills, saws; as well as fabrication equipment.
- Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and installation instructions accurately.
- Excellent organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Good understanding of health & safety regulations relevant to construction sites.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail during installation processes.
- Physical fitness capable of lifting heavy materials safely and working at heights when necessary.

Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
