We are a busy and growing large format print and signage company producing high-quality graphics, signage and graphics for clients across a wide range of sectors.
We are looking for an experienced Pre-Press Studio Artworker to join our studio team and ensure artwork is prepared accurately and efficiently for print and manufacture.
The Role
As a Pre-Press Studio Artworker, you will be responsible for preparing customer artwork for production, creating print-ready files, and supporting the smooth flow of work through our studio and production departments. Attention to detail and a strong understanding of large format print processes are essential.
Key Responsibilities
· Preparing customer artwork for large format print and signage production.
· Creating print-ready files for a range of substrates and applications.
· Checking artwork for dimensions, bleed, resolution, colour accuracy, and technical suitability.
· Producing cutter guides, white layers, spot colours, and finishing instructions.
· Setting up files for CNC routing, contour cutting, and fabrication where required.
· Managing multiple jobs and prioritising workloads to meet deadlines.
· Liaising with sales, project managers, and production staff to ensure specifications are correct.
· Identifying and resolving artwork issues before production.
· Maintaining organised file structures and job records.
· Assisting with proofs and customer amendments.
· Ensuring jobs are produced efficiently while minimising waste and errors.
Essential Skills & Experience
Minimum 2 years' experience in a pre-press or artwork role within large format print, signage, or display graphics.
· Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop
· Strong understanding of large format processes, colour management, bleed, scaling, resolution, spot colour and cut path layers
· Experience preparing files for roll-to-roll, flatbed, and contour-cut applications.
· Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
· Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
· Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
Desirable Experience
· Experience with ONYX and Fiery RIP software.
· Knowledge of CNC routing and fabrication drawings.
· Understanding of ACM, Foamex, acrylic, Dibond, vinyl, banner, and display materials.
· Previous experience in a fast-paced signage or graphics environment.
