Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages with precision and flair
- Greet customers warmly, taking their orders accurately and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas
- Handle cash register transactions accurately, including processing payments and giving change
- Follow food safety standards diligently to ensure all products are prepared and stored properly
- Restock supplies as needed to keep the café well-equipped for busy periods
- Assist with light food preparation tasks, such as assembling snacks or pastries when required
Requirements
- Prior experience as a barista or in food service is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is essential
- Knowledge of food safety practices and standards to ensure hygiene and quality control
- Ability to serve customers politely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, including mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed
