About the Job:
We are seeking an apprentice to support the development and delivery of regional climate and energy ambitions, programmes and projects across Cardiff Capital Region. You will play a key role in supporting the Climate Lead, Energy Lead and Energy Project Officers in the delivery of assigned projects, contributing to the delivery of individual project and programme activities, objectives and outcomes.
What we are looking for from you:
We are looking for an individual with a desire to work in a carbon and sustainability environment, who is enthusiastic and eager to learn, with a commitment to contributing positively to the team.
As an apprentice, you’ll learn from experienced colleagues who are committed to helping you grow. You will gain job‑specific skills whilst working towards the Level 3 Diploma in Energy & Carbon Management, earning a wage and building a career path that suits you.
Entry requirements include 5 GCSE’s at A-C grade including Maths, English or a willingness to undertake additional key skills as part of your apprenticeship.
Additional Information:
This is a fixed-term post for 18 months, starting in September/October 2026. You will be paid National Minimum Wage (apprentice rates) dependent on your age:
- 21 & over £12.71
- 18 - 20 £10.85
- Under 18 £8.00
