Overview
The Community Care Worker plays a vital role in supporting individuals in their daily lives, ensuring they receive the care and assistance they need to maintain their independence and quality of life. This position involves working closely with clients within the community. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, patient, and dedicated to providing high-quality care to seniors and individuals with specific needs.
Duties
- Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including driving clients to appointments or social activities.
- Support clients with daily living activities and encourage their participation in social interactions.
- Implement behaviour management techniques to support clients with challenging behaviours.
- Maintain accurate records of client care and report any concerns to healthcare professionals or family members.
- Foster a safe and supportive environment that promotes dignity and respect for each individual.
Skills
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to drive and possess a valid driving licence and a car.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for helping others are essential traits for success in this role.
