We're hiring for autumn: events & street sales, competitive commission, ideal for creatives
Freddie's Flowers started with one man (Freddie Garland), a milk float, and a mission to get beautiful flowers into people's homes without the markup or the wilt. We're a B Corp now, a bit bigger than the milk float days, but the mission hasn't changed.
We're heading into our busiest season and we want experienced salespeople in Bristol who want to make the most of it.
How it works
You'll start on an e-bike doing street routes around Bristol, rain or shine. That's where you learn the basics. Event spots are rotated on performance, do well and the calendar opens up: Bath and Bristol Christmas Markets, Royal Welsh Winter Fair, Cheltenham Literature Festival and more. It changes every week.
Freddie's is an easy product to get behind. People are glad to hear about it, the price surprises them, and most of the time they're genuinely pleased they stopped to chat.
What you'll earn
Uncapped commission with a very competitive commission structure. Six sales in a shift averages out at £210 with the top-up, or £840 across a four-shift week.
- Paid upfront the following week
- Prove your sales quality and you move to Gold Tier, where the rate goes higher
- Week 12 top-up based on the true value of the customers you've brought in
Who does well here
Actors, musicians and creatives tend to do well here. The schedule is flexible and the commission is worth your time. A lot of people in that world find it fits better than anything else they've tried.
Hospitality and events experience translates well too. Retail counts, though this is a step up from customer service. You're starting conversations rather than waiting for them.
You'll need to be:
- Good with people and motivated by targets
- Unbothered by rejection and able to hold your energy in all weathers
- Well presented and comfortable representing a brand
- Available for an average of 4 shifts a week
- 18+, right to work in the UK, comfortable on an e-bike in Bristol
Driving licence, 25+ and happy in a van is a bonus!
The people
You'll get full paid training before you start and ongoing coaching from the team. There are also monthly socials and discounted flowers. The head office team are easy to get hold of and there when you need them.
