Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and friendly Casual Bar Staff to join our team. This role offers flexible hours suitable for individuals looking to gain experience in the hospitality industry or those seeking part-time work. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, serving drinks, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all patrons. Previous experience is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for hospitality and a positive attitude.
Duties
- Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers in a professional and courteous manner
- Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt service
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including cleaning glasses and organising stock
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age and adhere to licensing laws
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately using the till system
- Assist in setting up and closing down the bar at the beginning and end of shifts
- Provide friendly assistance and respond to customer enquiries promptly
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operation of the bar
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or food service is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety standards and licensing regulations is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly, approachable manner
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Ability to serve alcohol responsibly and recognise when to refuse service if necessary
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or during peak hours as required
- A positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn new skills
