Are you an experienced HGV Driver looking for a varied role where no two days are the same? We're looking for a reliable, customer-focused individual to join our team, delivering plant equipment and attachments to construction sites while supporting the installation and testing of attachments on-site.
This is more than just a driving role. You'll be a key representative of our business, providing excellent customer service and technical support while ensuring equipment is delivered safely, efficiently, and ready for use.
What You'll Be Doing
- Delivering and collecting plant machinery and attachments from customer sites.
- Safely driving a range of vehicles, including towing where required.
- Assisting with the fitting and installation of plant attachments.
- Connecting and matching hydraulic couplings.
- Testing attachments, including flow and pressure checks, to ensure equipment is operating correctly.
- Recording work completed using a mobile device.
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping within the yard, workshop, and vehicle.
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and ensuring equipment remains clean, organised, and serviceable.
- Following all company Health & Safety procedures and industry regulations.
- Providing a professional, friendly, and helpful service to customers at all times.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
- Driver CPC and HGV Class 2 entitlement.
- Good understanding of tachograph regulations and vehicle compliance checks.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A positive attitude with excellent attention to detail.
Desirable:
- HGV Class 1 licence.
- Previous experience working with plant machinery or plant attachments.
- Forklift Truck certification.
- Mechanical or fitting experience.
