The role.
We're looking for a preferably skilled or semi-skilled candidate, a trainee would be considered if motivated enough to learn the skills to become a Metal Finisher / Polisher / Fettler. You would be joining a dedicated specialist team often under pressure to meet challenging deadlines. You'll work across unique marine projects from fabricated assemblies and deck fittings to precision structural components where the standard of finish truly matters.
- Bringing fabricated assemblies to a finish that meets engineering tolerances and the exacting aesthetic standards of the marine sector.
- Super mirror Polishing st/st fabrications & Shaping and crafting aluminium weld profiles ready for paining through the use of a variety of handheld tools.
- Working with marine-grade aluminium & stainless steel and components throughout.
- Collaborating closely with the workshop team to ensure quality standards are met at every stage.
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and taking ownership of your own quality control.
- Completing all work safely, efficiently, and to the required specification.
What we're looking for.
As an Experience candidate.
- We are looking for proven hands-on experience as a Metal Finisher to include Polishing marine grade stainless steel components to a super yacht standard along with Fettling the profile of aluminium welds ready for painting.
- Sharp attention to detail and a genuine pride in producing high-quality work.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a close-knit team.
- Friendly and calm with a can-do attitude and clear communication skills are essential.
As a trainee.
· The candidate will have a keen desire to learn the new skills need for a long-term position.
· A Can do attitude is essential along with the ability to pick up practical skills quickly and efficiently.
· Full in-house training will be given to achieve the above Skill sets.
Desirable.
- Previous experience in this field of expertise within marine industry or a similarly precision-focused environment.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality standards.
- Track record of meeting or exceeding production targets.
