Hutch Logistics is a fast-growing third-party logistics (3PL) provider specialising in eCommerce fulfilment for some of the UK's fastest-growing brands. We provide warehousing, fulfilment and distribution services across a wide range of industries, using our own Warehouse Management System (Pimento) and continually investing in technology and process improvement.
Our Braintree warehouse is our second UK fulfilment centre, having opened in February 2026 as part of our continued expansion. The site is growing rapidly, with increasing customer volumes and an exciting pipeline of new business, making this an excellent opportunity to join at an early stage and play a key role in shaping how the operation develops.
As Warehouse Supervisor, you will work closely with the General Manager to help establish best practices, drive continuous improvement and build a high-performing warehouse operation. As the business continues to grow, the reporting structure will evolve, with this role ultimately reporting into a dedicated Warehouse Manager while continuing to offer excellent opportunities for career progression.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and motivate the warehouse team on a daily basis
- Allocate work and manage workloads to ensure daily dispatch deadlines are achieved
- Lead by example across all warehouse operations
- Maintain excellent housekeeping and Health & Safety standards
- Act as a keyholder for the site
- Operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck
- Operate a VNA truck (training can be provided if required)
- Ensure warehouse activities comply with our ISO 9001 Quality Management System
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
- Monitor productivity and quality standards
- Support stock control, replenishment and inventory accuracy
- Use our Pimento Warehouse Management System to manage daily warehouse operations such as, Goods In, Picking & Packing, Replenishments, Returns Processing, Stock Counts, Loading & Unloading Vehicle
- Support training and development of warehouse staff
Experience
- Proven experience in warehouse management or supervisory roles within logistics or distribution environments
- Strong knowledge of materials handling techniques, shipping & receiving procedures, and heavy lifting safety practices
- Hands-on experience with forklift operation and mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively, manage multiple priorities, and implement process improvements
- Knowledge of 3PL logistics operations and best practices in supply chain management
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to train staff, coordinate with external partners, and document processes clearly
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
Pay: From £32,000.00 per year
