We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Assistant Head of Catering to join our vibrant hospitality team. In this pivotal role, you will support the leadership in delivering exceptional catering services across diverse events and venues. Your enthusiasm for culinary excellence, combined with strong supervisory skills, will help ensure smooth operations, outstanding food quality, and memorable guest experiences. Duties
- Assist the Head of Catering in planning and executing catering menus tailored to client needs and event specifications
- Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food preparation, presentation, and service standards are met consistently
- Oversee food safety protocols and maintain compliance with health regulations to guarantee a safe dining environment
- Manage and motivate a team of culinary and service staff, providing training and guidance to foster teamwork and professional growth
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and event organizers to ensure timely delivery of ingredients and equipment
- Support bartending services when needed, including drink preparation and bar management during events
- Monitor food production processes, ensuring high-quality standards are upheld at all times
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a hospitality or restaurant setting
- Demonstrated supervisory or team management experience in catering or restaurant environments
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- Skilled in food presentation, culinary techniques, and beverage service including bartending and barista skills
- Excellent leadership abilities with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Familiarity with hospitality operations at hotels or large-scale events is highly desirable
- Exceptional communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and clients

Pay: £25,185.00-£25,989.00 per year
