Location: UK – Hybrid
Function: Commercial
Reporting to: Head of Growth & New Business
Talma Europe is growing, and we’re looking for a commercially driven Sales Manager who loves opening doors, creating opportunities and turning great conversations into profitable, long-term client relationships.
This is a highly visible new-business role for someone who thrives on the challenge of winning. You’ll take ownership of your pipeline from the very first conversation through discovery, proposal, tender/RFP, negotiation and close, working with senior decision-makers, procurement teams and industry partners across the UK and selected European markets.
You won’t simply be asked to generate activity. We want someone who understands where to focus, how to create value and how to convert opportunity into sustainable growth.
At Talma, every win matters — but the right win matters more.
You’ll work closely with colleagues across Implementation, Operations, Account Management, Technology and Finance to make sure what we sell is commercially right, operationally deliverable and capable of creating an outstanding experience for our clients.

You’ll own an individual new-business target and build a strong, balanced pipeline capable of delivering agreed revenue, margin and new-client goals.
You will:
Create and execute targeted prospecting plans across priority sectors and client profiles.
Generate opportunities through outbound activity, inbound leads, referrals, partnerships, networking and events.
Lead the complete sales journey from first contact and qualification through discovery, proposal, commercial negotiation and close.
Build compelling client-specific propositions that demonstrate Talma’s service, technology, traveller experience and commercial value.
Lead tenders, RFPs and complex opportunities, ensuring submissions are persuasive, commercially robust and delivered on time.
Negotiate commercial terms within agreed authority while protecting profitability and long-term client value.
We believe strong sales performance starts with strong commercial discipline.
You’ll maintain accurate CRM records and take ownership of your opportunities, activity, next steps and forecasts.
You will:
Provide clear and reliable weekly and monthly pipeline forecasts.
Understand and explain opportunity movement, risk and potential slippage.
Use conversion data and sales-cycle insight to continually improve performance.
Qualify opportunities effectively so time and resources are focused where Talma has a credible route to winning.
Work with Finance and senior colleagues to understand pricing, margin, implementation cost and commercial risk before commitments are made.
You’ll have your finger on the pulse of the corporate travel market.
You’ll monitor competitor activity, procurement trends, buyer behaviour and emerging opportunities, using those insights to help shape where and how Talma competes.
You’ll contribute to:
Sector and account plans.
Sales playbooks and qualification tools.
Messaging and client propositions.
Case studies and sales collateral.
Improving our sales processes, reporting and CRM discipline.
Winning the client is just the beginning.
You’ll work closely with Implementation, Account Management, Operations, Technology and Finance to ensure every successful sale transitions smoothly into delivery.
Your commercial handovers will clearly capture client objectives, scope, commercials, commitments, risks and stakeholder expectations.
You’ll remain appropriately involved through implementation, helping protect the client experience and accelerate value from the new relationship.
You’ll be one of the faces of Talma Europe in the market.
Whether you’re meeting a prospect, presenting a proposal, attending an industry event or taking part in a roundtable, you’ll represent Talma with energy, credibility and professionalism.
You’ll develop a strong external network across the TMC, corporate travel, procurement and travel-technology community and bring valuable market intelligence back into the business.

We’re looking for an established B2B new-business salesperson who can demonstrate a strong record of winning and who is comfortable operating in a stretching, high-performance commercial environment.
You’ll ideally bring:
A demonstrable track record of meeting or exceeding revenue, margin or new-logo targets.
Strong B2B consultative and solution-selling capability.
Around 2–3 years or more of relevant experience within a TMC, corporate travel or closely related travel-industry environment.
Strong commercial acumen, including pricing, margin awareness, negotiation and value-based selling.
Excellent discovery and questioning skills, with the ability to translate complex client requirements into a persuasive commercial proposition.
Confidence engaging senior decision-makers, procurement teams and multi-stakeholder buying groups.
Strong presentation and executive communication skills.
Excellent pipeline management, CRM and forecasting discipline.
Strong written skills, particularly across proposals, tenders, RFPs and executive summaries.
A good understanding of the corporate travel environment, including service models, traveller experience, technology, implementation and procurement.
The ability to turn competitor and market intelligence into focused commercial action.
Strong organisation and prioritisation, balancing proactive prospecting with longer and more complex sales cycles.
Resilience, curiosity, self-motivation and personal accountability.
The confidence to challenge constructively while working collaboratively with colleagues across the business.
High standards of professional integrity, confidentiality and data accuracy.
Experience using Monday.com or similar CRM/workflow platforms.
Awareness of travel technology such as Sabre, Amadeus or ProTAS.
Experience speaking at events, facilitating roundtables or representing a business externally.
Evidence of continued professional development in sales, commercial practice or negotiation.
