We’re looking for a junior graphic designer with a creative and imaginative approach and a strong eye for detail to help create beautiful, bespoke travel albums and printed books.
The work is highly visual and photography-led, with an emphasis on thoughtful, original layouts, typography and visual storytelling. Each project is individual, so we’re looking for someone who enjoys experimenting with ideas while maintaining a polished, high-quality finish.
Job Type: Freelance: Mid week, 2 days in person per week, long-term
Skill Set: Hourly rate £15 - £20 depending on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Creating bespoke layouts for travel albums and books
- Working with photography to develop engaging and cohesive visual narratives
- Refining layouts and details to a high standard
- Preparing artwork and files for print
- Designing, sending newsletters and invitations (in addition to the above).
Skill Set:
- Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign; Photoshop and Illustrator; as well as Microsoft Office software
- Photo editing and retouching.
- Creative flare and understanding of visual details (layout, type and fonts).
- Proofreading to produce accurate and high-quality work.
- Ability to work with flexible hours.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in email marketing platforms, particularly Mailchimp.
- Experience in domain and website maintenance, particularly Shopify.
