Help us to preserve our 'Monster Reputation for Excellence' by joining our wonderful team as a Retail Assistant in our beautiful 5* tourism destination - An Talla, by Loch Ness.
You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and creating a fantastic shopping experience for customers in a relaxed retail environment. The role involves assisting customers with product selection, demonstrating in-depth knowledge of merchandise, and maintaining store presentation standards to uphold the company’s monster reputation.
You will work in our 5* visitor experience on the banks of the Caledonian Canal at Dochgarroch Lock (4 miles South of Inverness on the A82) where our sister company - Jacobite Cruises operate cruises on Loch Ness - we're all part of the same monster package delivering an excellent customer experience to each of our visitors.
This is a permanent position, 24 - 32 hours per week over 4 days.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Provide outstanding service to all customers, ensuring a welcoming and personalised shopping experience.
- Sales: Assist customers in selecting products, offering expert advice and upselling where appropriate.
- Merchandising: Maintain an attractive and well-organised store layout, ensuring products are displayed to their best advantage.
- Stock Management: Assist with inventory control, including receiving, unpacking, and organising stock.
- Cash Handling: Process transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale system.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to achieve sales targets and maintain a positive store environment.
Requirements:
- Experience: Previous retail experience in a similar setting.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer focus.
- Appearance: Professional and well-groomed appearance.
- Flexibility: Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as needed.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with local crafts and luxury products is a plus.
