Import Logistics & Operations Coordinator

Are you an organised, driven early-career professional looking to build a career in international trade and logistics? We're recruiting on behalf of a confidential client in the food/agri-trading sector for an Import Logistics & Operations Coordinator to join their growing team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with some early experience in logistics, supply chain, or import/export (whether from a placement, graduate scheme, or first role) who wants to be trained up and grow within an international trading business. What You'll Be Doing
- Coordinating the end-to-end import process for shipments arriving at UK and EU ports — liaising with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and port agents
- Arranging inland road haulage from ports and warehouses to customers across the UK and Europe
- Supporting day-to-day warehouse operations and stock management with third-party logistics partners
- Tracking shipments, flagging delays, and keeping internal teams and customers updated
- Coordinating outbound customer deliveries and managing related documentation
- Spotting opportunities to improve processes, reduce costs, and streamline documentation
What We're Looking For
- Some experience in logistics, supply chain, or import/export coordination (placement, graduate role, or early career position)
- Basic understanding of import procedures and customs documentation in the UK and/or EU
- Highly organised, with strong attention to detail
- Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with external partners as well as internal teams
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset
