Hours: 30 hours per week (rota basis, including weekdays, evenings and weekends)
Pay: £13.50–£16.00 per hour, depending on experience

We're looking for an exceptional Head Chef to join our brand-new independent coffee and wine bar in the heart of Sprotbrough.
This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a new kitchen from the very beginning. You'll play a key role in developing our food offering, setting the highest standards and creating a dining experience that keeps customers coming back.

The Role
As Head Chef, you'll take responsibility for the overall running of the kitchen, leading by example and ensuring every dish reflects our commitment to quality, consistency and creativity.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the day-to-day operation of the kitchen.
- Developing and evolving seasonal menus alongside the business owners
- Preparing and presenting fresh, high-quality dishes to an exceptional standard.
- Maintaining consistency, presentation and attention to detail across every service.
- Managing stock, ordering, supplier relationships and food cost control.
- Recruiting, training and developing the kitchen team.
- Ensuring compliance with food hygiene, HACCP and health & safety legislation.
- Maintaining an organised, efficient and professional kitchen environment.
- Working collaboratively with the front-of-house team to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
- Driving high standards while continually looking for opportunities to improve and innovate.
About You

- Has previous experience as a Head Chef, Sous Chef, or an experienced senior chef ready to take the next step.
- Has a genuine passion for fresh, high-quality food and excellent presentation.
- Enjoys developing menus and creating seasonal specials.
- Is a confident and inspiring leader who brings out the best in their team.
- Has strong organisational skills and thrives in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Understands food cost management, stock control and kitchen efficiency.
- Has excellent knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Takes pride in delivering consistently outstanding food and service.
