Lingfield Minibuses are looking to hire a part-time driver to do school runs in the local area, with the option of additional private hire work in the evenings and at weekends.
This would suit someone who holds PSV and CPC licenses already, and who is on the DBS update service. These are essential requirements of the role so unfortunately, we cannot accept applications from those without these qualifications.
The role is for Monday- Friday during school term times, and you will be paid for a minimum of 4 hours per day. The approximate hours for school runs are between 7-9am and 4-6pm, however these may vary slightly depending on the route. The role would involve picking children up at pre-arranged stops and transporting them to and from school. The start date would be September 1st 2026.
There could also be an opportunity to cover additional private hire work during evenings, nights, weekends and school holidays if desired. Pay for this would be negotiable.
This role could suit someone who is recently retired but still holds all the relevant licenses and meets medical requirements. It could also appeal to someone who has the ability to manage their own existing work schedule with a high level of flexibility, possibly someone freelance or self-employed who is looking for the option of extra income.
The ideal candidate would also be reliable, polite, conscientious and able to manage interactions with children, staff and customers with professionalism. The comfort and safety of passengers should be your number one priority, and therefore a careful and considerate driver is a must.
