Key Responsibilities
- Define and deliver the operations strategy for Healthcare, Government and airline activities, aligned to the overall business vision and UKI strategy.
- Lead safe, compliant end-to-end logistics operations, protecting colleagues, data and goods while meeting all regulatory requirements.
- Inspire and develop high-performing operations teams, strengthening colleague engagement and building a great place to work.
- Build strong, trusted relationships with key customers, driving collaboration and long-term value.
- Lead strategic initiatives with significant operational impact, embedding best-in-class logistics practices and managing risk effectively.
- Oversee budgets, investment proposals and major operational investments to support sustainable financial performance.
- Optimize the operational footprint, including facility openings, closures and operational input into mergers and acquisitions.
- Approve critical agreements and contracts, negotiating terms with key accounts to support business objectives.
- Develop and improve operating processes, systems and models to deliver efficient, high-quality logistics services.
- Set and manage service, quality and capacity objectives to meet changing business volumes and requirements.
- Create a culture of innovation that improves operational efficiency, profitability and customer outcomes.
Skills and Qualifications
We are looking for an experienced senior leader with a strong track record of delivering both respect and results. You will bring proven logistics or operations experience, ideally within Healthcare and Airline sectors, alongside the strategic, analytical and commercial capability to shape long-term business performance in line with global divisional objectives. Success in this role will require the ability to lead effectively in a matrix environment, deliver through others and build high-performing teams. Experience of leading culture change would be advantageous.
- University degree required; MBA preferred.
- Minimum 8–10 years’ relevant senior leadership experience in healthcare.
- Supply chain experience preferred.
- Proven experience shaping strategy for a large business unit or team.
