Hollins and Gee are a well-established joinery and painting contracting company that work within the East Midlands construction sector. Hollins and Gee Construction also have a small main contracting arm and develop out there own projects.

The Role
Reporting directly to the Group Operations Manager, you will assist in the commercial management of multiple contracts from award through to final account. Your objective will be to maximise project profitability, maintain excellent client relationships and ensure commercial processes are managed efficiently on each project.
Key Responsibilities
Review tender documentation, pricing jobs within company pricing schedules.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
Prepare and submit interim applications for payment in accordance with contract requirements.
Identify, price and submit variations before additional works commence wherever possible.
Assist in negotiating subcontract agreements and managing subcontractor accounts.
Monitor project costs and identify opportunities to improve commercial performance.
Work closely with the Operations team to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and profitably.
Ensure all commercial procedures and company management systems are followed.
Key Deliverables
Timely submission of applications for payment.
Accurate pricing and submission of variations.
Monthly project cost reports and profitability analysis.
Maintenance of the company's Master Period Reporting documentation.
Attendance at Monthly Commercial Cost Meetings
Pre-Start Meetings
Final Account Meetings
Inputting Opperatives timesheets
About You
We're looking for someone who is organised, commercially aware and keen to progress their career.
Essential
Previous experience as a Trainee or Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Relevant Construction Qualification (Desirable).
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Strong numerical and analytical ability.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Full UK Driving Licence (Desirable).
