Achievio is a Tuition and Education Centre based in Melksham offering individual and group tuition to children from 4-18 years of age. During the school day, we offer Alternative Provision to schools and local authorities and are a Wiltshire Approved Alternative Provision setting.
We are seeking experienced, qualified teachers to work with our Alternative Provision students. We are particularly interested in teachers who can offer the following:
- Secondary English
- Secondary Science
- Secondary Maths
- KS2/3 SEMH experience
- KS1
Alternative Provision students come to us as they need something different to mainstream school. Many have SEND and most will have found their recent time in school challenging. Our role is to work with students for a short period of time, offering tuition in academic subjects alongside social and emotional work preparing them for their next school placement. Our Alternative Provision sessions currently run from 9:30-12:00 and 12:15-2:45 Monday to Friday.
This is an exciting time to join Achievio, as our business grows, there will be the opportunity for successful candidates to take on more responsibility and increase hours, should they wish to. This will include the option of working in other areas of our business such as private tuition, outreach, SEND support, holiday activities.

Key Responsibilities:
- To plan and deliver tutoring sessions to individuals and/or small groups
- Monitor and ensure the safety of children within the centre at all times
- Track progress against targets and provide regular updates
- To plan for and direct Teaching Assistants
- Share ideas and collaborate with colleagues to ensure all our students are well supported
We would like to hear from you if you:
- Are a qualified teacher
- Enjoy working with children and can develop positive, professional relationships with them
- Have experience of supporting children with their learning and are able to make learning engaging in an individual and/or small group setting
- Have experience of working with SEND children, including those with EHCPs and can adapt your teaching to meet their individual needs
- Have strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
- Are reliable, enthusiastic and self-motivated
- Have the ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively with colleagues
- Have a positive, patient, and enthusiastic attitude towards teaching and learning
- Are committed to giving all children the opportunity and support to be successful
- Are willing to undertake training as and when required
- Are committed to safeguarding and promoting child welfare
Start date: asap
Hours: flexible - from 3 to 27 hours per week depending on the availability of the successful candidate
Pay: £30 per hour
