Duties
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages and other drinks efficiently while maintaining consistency and presentation standards
- Provide friendly, attentive service to all customers, ensuring a positive experience from ordering to payment
- Assist with food preparation, including assembling snacks or light meals as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all areas of the cafe or venue, adhering to food safety regulations
- Manage cash register operations accurately, including handling transactions and giving correct change using basic math skills
- Support team members with general duties such as restocking supplies, cleaning workstations, and setting up for busy periods
- Contribute to a lively team environment by communicating effectively and supporting colleagues during peak times
Requirements
- Previous barista experience is highly desirable; a passion for coffee and customer service is essential
- Knowledge of food safety practices and ability to follow health regulations diligently
- Experience in serving customers in fast-paced environments with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to assist with food preparation tasks with attention to detail and cleanliness
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy shifts
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and evenings as needed
