Role:
We’re looking for a compassionate and motivated Wellbeing Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary clinical team and deliver low-intensity CBT sessions.
What you’ll be doing
Clinical practice
- Deliver structured, low-intensity CBT and psychologically informed interventions for individuals experiencing gambling-related harm
- Support assessments, helping to identify emotional, psychological, and social needs
- Contribute to the formulation and development of recovery-focused care plans with clear, achievable goals
- Encourage engagement with treatment, peer support, and wider recovery activities
- Support access to appropriate community services and external support networks
Risk and safeguarding
- Identify, assess, and respond to safeguarding concerns in line with organisational policies
- Undertake risk assessments and escalate concerns appropriately
- Maintain professional boundaries and safe, ethical working practices
Partnership working
- Build strong relationships with internal colleagues and external agencies
- Liaise with healthcare professionals, referrers, and community organisations
- Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings, case discussions, and reviews
Clinical governance and development
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical records
- Participate in supervision, reflective practice, and ongoing professional development
- Contribute to service improvement, audit, and evaluation activity
- Work in line with organisational policies, procedures, and professional standards
Essential qualifications and experience
- Postgraduate Diploma (PgDip) in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Experience delivering structured, psychologically informed CBT interventions
- Experience managing and prioritising a caseload effectively
- Experience working within health, social care, charity, or community settings
- Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
Essential skills and knowledge
- Delivering Low-intensity CBT sessions
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and professional boundaries
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to build trusting, compassionate relationships with service users
- Resilience and professionalism in emotionally challenging situations
- Strong organisational and record-keeping skills
- Ability to work independently and use initiative appropriately
Desirable
- Experience with gambling addiction
- Experience delivering group sessions
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a CBT background in mental health or wellbeing practice—such as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner PWP —who is looking to develop their skills within a specialist addiction recovery service

Pay: £32,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
